Welcome to the world of Manipal. In health sciences and technology
education, the Manipal experiment has succeeded and the Manipal
Institutions have established a track record that is unequalled in the
private sector in Asia. It is in recognition of this experience and
expertise that the Government of India conferred deemed university
status to the major Manipal institutions on June 1, 1993 giving birth
to the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The Manipal Group of
Institutions have now entered the fifth decade of professional
education in medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, pharmacy,
engineering, management, hotel administration, law and the arts and
sciences.
Bearing in mind the need
and the demand for improved health services and the important role
played by the Allied Health Professionals as members of modern health
teams, MAHE has launched unique, innovative and relevant
Bachelor of Science degree level courses in Allied Health Sciences. In
due course, we will be offering various other courses also and the
thrust will continue to be towards making education relevant to real
world needs. We hope that more and more students would reap the
benefits of these career-oriented courses. Semester system is followed and the
University
conducts the examinations and award Degrees and Certificates.
